This is a very funny play

This is a very funny play – the situations are funny and the actions make it doubly so. The characters, all eight or more, played by Russell Bennett are well defined and precise in their voices and mannerisms. Bennett is at home with this material – his bio in the program certainly makes you wonder how true the story is (lawyer gets busted for growing award-winning pot, runs from the law and does a play about it). No cops showed up at the venue, so I suppose it is not entirely auto-biographical. This handsome, clean cut young man who makes Vancouver his home deserves the success we have heard about from other Fringe festivals. Let’s hope he isn’t a one-hit wonder.
